How Can We Pray for Each Other?

The best way to start anything is with prayer! What are some ways that can we pray for each other and for those we'd like to reach out to?

Terry has requested prayer for a Bible study she will begin leading August 30th (see the comments under the very first post).

I would like prayer for my relationship with my neighbor Jill. She has recently come to know the Lord, and I would love the opportunity to talk with her more deeply about spiritual things. Please pray for discernment and boldness with regard to "bridging the gap" between the every day and the spiritual. Pray that the Lord would grow our relationship for His glory.

How can we pray for you and those you'd like to reach for Christ?

Blogging 101--Frequently Asked Questions

What in the world is a "blog"?

Blog is short for Web log and is a Web page that has short, frequent updates made to it. There are many different kinds of blogs--some are online “journals” that chronicle the events and thoughts of a person. Other blogs focus on a specific topic, like the Andrew Partners site. Most blogs offer opportunity for readers to leave their thoughts and comments on the entries, like this one.

How can I “find” this blog if I want to come back here another day?

There are several ways to access this blog:

  • The easiest is to bookmark it on your browser.
  • You can also save your original email from the Andrew Partners Administrator and access it through that link.
  • We are working on creating a link from the church website, but there isn’t one right now.
How do I respond to a blog entry?

Click the “comments” link at the bottom of the entry. This will take you to a page where you can read others' comments on that entry and leave your own.

Can I create my own blog entry?

Yes! First, you will need to select the “sign in” link at the top right corner of the page. This will take you to your “Dashboard.” In the white box, under “Manage My Blogs” you will see the Andrew Partners site listed. Under that, there will be a green plus sign and a link for “New Post.” Once you sign in, this link will also appear at the top right hand corner of the main Andrew Partners page.

Why bother to blog?

You may be thinking to yourself--"I'm a busy person! Why should I bother to blog?" Good question! Blogging helps us keep our friends, family, and neighbors who need Christ at the front of our minds. It’s easy to get lost in the physical demands of each day and lose sight of the spiritual needs of those all around us. This blog can help us keep our eyes on “things above.” It connects us with others who desire to share Christ, so that we can pray and encourage each other in this regard. It creates a community where we are actively thinking about and reaching out to those around us who need to know the Lord. I know that I need to be constantly encouraged in this regard. Don’t you?

Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

Welcome to the Andrew Partner Blog

Welcome everyone to our new AP blog...

This is such an exciting time for NABC as we seek to reach our city for Christ as a community of people dedicated to becoming an "Andrew" to our friends and family members.

The purpose of this site is simply to allow all of us in the AP community to communicate prayers, suggestions, advice and the incredible testimonies of all that God is doing among us.

So lets get started...
* who can we help you pray for (first name only)
* share with the community one way you bridge the conversation to spiritual things
* do you have a testimony of how God has used you already as an "AP"?
